Electric gear screen changer integrates the filter screen and extruder die head into the main body door. The main body door, designed in a gear shape, rotates to open or close. For screen replacement, the extruder must first be shut down; then the drive gear rotates to open the main body door. After the filter screen is manually replaced, the drive gear closes the door again.
This screen changer features a simple structure and high reliability. It is rarely prone to failures and requires minimal maintenance. However, it has a relatively low filtration accuracy—typically suitable only for polymer recycling and granulation, which is its most notable limitation. Additionally, this screen changes require the extruder to be shut down, making continuous production impossible and resulting in lower output. But it offers relatively low cost and good value for money.
